I’ve been so busy with my nine month old Alice that I can’t believe it’s IMK time again.  Somewhere between feeding, changing nappies and teething nightmares i’ve managed to throw something together, so here goes..

In My Kitchen this February

Lakeland Pie Dish.

Fantastic new pie dish, a gift from my husband.

Lakeland lasagne Dish.

This stunning new lasagne dish, also a gift from my husband.

Drop scones with blueberries.

Delicious drop scones served with fresh blueberries and greek yogurt for a healthy breakfast.

Thyme, Bay leaves and Rosemary.

Fresh herbs from our garden.

Irish Stew.

More comfort food – and it doesn’t get better than Irish stew made with fresh herbs from the garden.

Aubergine Parmigiana.

Aubergine Parmigiana – One of my favourite dishes – so comforting in the winter.

Otis in Alice’s toy box.

Introducing SurreyKitchen’s new kitten Otis.

Surrey Kitchen’s Otis.

I’m very sad to say we lost our cat Miles on the 7th December 2015.  It’s taken us a while to get over as Miles was such a character and we miss him very much.  We are going to keep him as our SurreyKitchen icon as he was with us from the very beginning of the blog and we have so many fond memories of him.

Like Miles Otis is also a rescue from Battersea Cats and Dogs Home.  As you can see from the photos above he is into absolutely everything – worse than a toddler!

Our beloved Miles.

Wishing you all a very Happy February and enjoy those pancakes if you are making them this evening.
