I can’t believe it’s time for Celia at Fig Jam and Lime Cordial’s February IMK post already!
In My Kitchen this February…
My amazing blueberry and cream cheese cake.
The perfect Fish Pie!
Muffins. muffins, muffins! Raspberry and Chocolate and Blueberry.
Books that I have been reading this month. Jennifer Niven’s All The Bright Places about a teenage girl who learns to live from a teenage boy who wants to die. Perfect for fans of John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars.
Helen Macdonald’s H is for Hawk which documents her attempts to win the trust of her goshawk Mabel as she struggles to cope with the death of her father. If you are a fan of C.S. Lewis’ A Grief Observed then you will love this one.
And finally just so that February doesn’t get too miserable the third in Sarah J Maas’ New York Times best-selling series Heir of Fire. Ou favourite assassin Caelaena Sardothien emerges from the ashes to avenge the savage death of her dearest friend. Perfect for fans of The Hunger Games and Game of Thrones.
It just occurred to me that everything in my kitchen this month is in one way or another an antidote to the cold miserable weather we are having here in the U.K.
Miles has been fighting the winter blues in his own way! But apparently this guy is no way as entertaining as the program on the secret lives of cats that he was watching a few nights ago.
Love the kitty watching TV and all the food looks delicious.
What a good way to fight the winter blues! A good read and muffins would certainly improve my mood as well. Cake is even better!
I’m totally intrigued by your fish pie! It looks like a hearty meal for those cold days. Speaking of cold days… the high is only 12 degrees here in Michigan today, BRRR!!!
Thanks for the reading tips. Your posts make me want to inhale the contents of the fridge…although I’d be a mite disappointed as there’s nothing like that looks that delicious in my fridge.
Lovely round up of deliciousness in your kitchen this month! Thanks for the peek!
Ooo, what a tasty IMK post and Miles is just too adorable watching the telly.
have a wonderful weekend.
🙂 Mandy xo
I really wish I could get excited about blueberries but they just don’t do it for me. They look great and that cake and muffins look gorgeous.
fish pie looks scrumptious…
What a lot of goodies in your kitchen. Your baked goods look delish and your cat is hilarious.
I hope the weather warms up for you soon! Gorgeous baking in your kitchen – love the look of your blueberry and cream cheese cake! 🙂
