The Santa Special trains depart Sheffield Park station for a ten-mile round trip to the beautifully restored Horsted Keynes station. Theres plenty to see on arrival, with special Dickensian themed fairground activities for all the family to enjoy.
Santa is on board for the journey and every child receives a Christmas gift and a festive treat. Adults are not left out as Santa’s elves serve free mince pies with the option to purchase drinks for refreshment during your journey. Sit back, relax and enjoy the views of the stunning Sussex countryside.
Upon arrival at Horsted Keynes station you can have your photograph taken with Santa on platform 1. You have approximately 40 minutes to enjoy the Victorian street entertainers, fairground stalls and hot chestnuts and mulled wine on sale. Try your luck at Hoopla, Splat the Rat and the Shooting Gallery.
The train then departs for Sheffield Park where there will be the opportunity to take a look around the Bluebell Railway museum, visit then engine shed, have a bite to eat in the Bessemer Arms, or do that extra Christmas shopping in the gift and souvenir shop. Altogether a magical Christmas day out for all the family.
